Thank you so much for visiting!
I’m Anita. I am the very proud stay-at-home-mom of Roman and River. They are both the lights of my life and my biggest source of stress and worry.
My oldest, Roman, is three and a half years old. He is my fearless, wild spirited boy who knows no stranger. Our daughter, River, is just over a year old. sweet, talkative, curious, and determined. These two have been my life’s best teachers!
I know what it is like to run a household while caring for little ones, feeling like you are the ring leader of your very own circus. I have battled postpartum depression, argued with a toddler, and had many a meltdown due to sleep deprivation.
I am not naturally an organized person. I am very forgetful and had to put systems into place to save my sanity when I entered into motherhood. After living in chaos after the birth of my son, and nearly breaking under the pressure, I had to make some changes. I have discovered things about myself and I have acquired skills that had previously eluded me, like time management, organization, and putting myself first (yes, it’s a skill!).
My goal for this blog is to share with you everything that I have learned that has simplified my life as a mother, and to save you some of the anxiety and feelings of overwhelm that used to run my life.
Some of the topics that I cover are:
- pregnancy, labor and delivery, first weeks with a newborn
- cooking for a busy family
- navigating your relationship with your partner after having a baby
- making time for yourself as a mom
- maximizing your productivity
- stretching your grocery store dollar
- ideas for grown-up nights out
- breastfeeding challenges
- body image after babies
- transitioning for one baby to two
Motherhood will never really be a simple thing, but there are so many tidbits of advice I have received and lessons I have learned that have made it SIMPLER. I can’t wait to share them with you! It is my goal to help you simplify your life and have more time to spend with your family (or relaxing by yourself!). I hope you will join me on this journey. Thank you for stopping in:)
